We are delighted to announce the Rendezvous has now started working in Gillingham. Over the course of the next 12 months we will be working with Gillingham Town Council to deliver an outreach project.
With no centre like the Rendezvous it’s our job to engage young people in the town, signpost them to support where needed and find out what services they really do want and need.
It’s early days but we really appreciate the warm reception we have had from the Town Council, organisations working in the area and most importantly from the young people themselves.
The Gillingham News featured the project on its front page Speaking in a personal capacity, Councillor Barry Von Clemens said he “felt the charity would be a ‘valuable addition to our town’s wonderful youth organisations and groups’ and continued ‘It is my personal and sincere hope that Rendezvous will become a permanent member of our youth community and I will do all I can to champion this hope. Our young people deserve the best and I hope that this project will be another step closer to achieving this.’ We hope so too.
