Training at the RendezVous
Training is offered in a wide range of subjects, from computer skills to interview techniques, from cookery to music recording, social skills to health and safety.
We are an OCR Approved Center. OCR are a leading UK awarding body, providing a wide range of qualifications to meet the needs of learners of all ages and abilities. The qualifications we currently offer are
- OCR Employability Skills
- OCR Life & Living Skills
- OCR Functional Skills in English, Maths & IT
- OCR ITQ (IT User Skills)
For Adults interested in teaching we now offer the PTLLS course (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector).
The PTLLS award covers the fundamentals of teaching in progressing and adult education. The course includes how to plan your sessions, how to motivate your learners and the use of a number of assessment techniques. It's the initial step on the way to becoming an official practitioner. In other words a complete licence to teach in the lifelong learning sector.
We also offer a number of National qualifications. These include:
- Adult Numeracy level 1 and level 2
- Adult Literacy level 1 and level 2
- CLAit Computer Literacy and Information Technology
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety
- Health and Safety in the Workplace
