UPDATE: This project ended successfully. We continued to fund sessions to run throughout the summer of 2021 ourselves and are delighted that BBC Children in Need have again agreed to fund a further 10 sessions a year for three years (2022-2025).

Our team went out and about in Sherborne after lockdown ended last summer as part of our larger young person’s project funded by BBC Children in Need.

Although it was quieter than normal, we got to know some new faces as well as reconnecting with many of our old centre users. Over the course of eight weeks we checked in and caught up, did a lot of myth-busting around the coronavirus pandemic, the importance of masks and social distancing as well as going on to provide targetted support for support.

Our Children in Need funding comes to an end in June this year and we are currently seeking funding to make sure we can run the programme again this summer. Please get in touch if you think you can help.
