Yeovil learning starts

News

Hoorah! After several false starts and delays owing to lockdowns and Covid restrictions beyond our control, our new programme in Yeovil is launching with face-to-face sessions in March whilst our existing learners will now be able to sit their exam papers in the Sherborne centre.

The first Yeovil session will be on Tuesday 23 March from 10-12am at the Vicarage Street Methodist Church when our newly recruited and inducted volunteers who have been raring to start will be meeting their 17 year old learners in person for the first time.

Social distancing and general Covid restrictions means that numbers are currently restricted but they will increase as the situation changes.

We are hugely grateful to Somerset Community Foundation for their support which has allowed us to develop the new programme in Yeovil, all the help and support of the tutors and of course those organisations and individuals who have provided the IT we have needed to offer online learning sessions to our learners over the last year. .

If you, or someone you know is under 25, out of education and in need of a Level 2 English and/or Maths qualification then please get in touch with Faye or Julie using the form below. You can find out more about the programme here.
