We were extremely grateful for the shade of the Three Wishes Cafe garden where we once again held our annual Supporters Thank You Summer tea on a very, very hot afternoon in August
The annual cream tea offers a great opportunity for us to get together to thank and catch up with our volunteers and other local supporters including the Mayor Juliet Pentolfe and other members of the Town Council and representatives such as Fiona Hartley from the Friends of the Yeatman Hospital.
As well as having the opportunity to meet together, we also presented an informal review of the year, pulling out highlights from all areas of our work and outlining developments planned for the next academic year.
This included the importance of the Lloyds Bank Foundation which, as well as giving us much needed funding, is providing IT consultancy to help us become even more efficient by making the most of available technology and a range of coaching and mentoring opportunities.
We wrapped up the afternoon by reading a very touching email we received from a parent of one of our learners which emphasised just how much of a difference our team makes to young people and how mental health underpins everything we do no matter what the service we are providing. You can read the email here.
