Take part in the FIRST Wookey Hole Caves’ Charity challenge! – Sunday 29 September, 2024
This fundraising event is an amazing opportunity to take part in a guided challenge to explore the underground wonders of Wookey Hole Caves.
To take part you’ll have to crawl, climb, abseil, and zip line to work your way around the natural obstacle course of one of the UK’s most famous cave systems. With the help of qualified instructors and guides, you’ll see part of the caves that are not open to the general public and have great fun whilst raising vital funds for the Rendezvous.
Wookey Hole Caves have nominated us as their Charity of the Year and so by taking part and raising £100 minimum sponsorship and £25 registration fee, you’ll be helping the Rendezvous help young people who need extra support to overcome the obstacles they face in life.
You can join as a team of 10 or join as an individual and become part of a team. The choice is yours. This promises to be a popular activity so get in touch to find out more and reserve your place.

Registration costs £25 (non-refundable) and there is a minimum fundraising target for all participants of £100. Deadline for sign up is Monday 16th September.
Equipment: All equipment: overalls, protective head gear, torch and safety equipment will be provided. However, this challenge is not for the faint-hearted. This physically and psychologically challenging experience is only suitable for physically fit adventurous explorers so unfortunately, we cannot accept participants with any of the following conditions: pregnancy; whiplash; epilepsy; heart conditions, e.g. angina; acute knee, shoulder, or ankle problems; attacks of fainting, dizziness, or blackouts; recent surgery.
To take part you must be over 18 and meet the following criteria:
Height – min 153cm – 198cm max
Weight – min 40kg – 105kg max
Waist – 0 – 100cm max
