Job interviews can be daunting for anyone and it’s natural to feel nervous. But, anxiety can prevent you from presenting yourself in the best possible light. To help our young people to shine we have been working on their interview skills.  

Under the banner of The Future is Yours, our employability project, we enlisted the help of James, Manager of the Sherborne Waitrose and Luke from Hunts Accountants.

James and Luke kindly came into the Rendezvous to hold mock interviews with Evie and Tilly.  They went through a full interview and then had a debrief, talking about what went well, what could be improved and to think about how important it is to think about what employers would be looking for and how best to show that they can meet their Requirements.

Evie and Tilly were naturally nervous at the start but by the end of the session felt much more confident about them, the skills and knowledge they had and their ability to perform in interviews.  We look forward to letting you know how they get on when they put their interview skills into practice.
