We are absolutely delighted to announce that BBC Children in Need has awarded us three years of funding to support something very simple—but incredibly powerful: a warm welcome.
Thanks to this funding, the wonderful Bekah will now officially be the friendly face that greets every young person, parent, and volunteer who comes through the doors at The Rendezvous. Whether it’s answering a quick question, noticing someone who might need a quiet word or a bit of extra support, or just making sure there’s always a hot drink and maybe one of her famous bakes available—Bekah brings warmth, energy, and genuine care to everything she does.
She’ll also be on hand to help with day-to-day practicalities: making sure rooms are ready, resources are where they should be, and things run smoothly behind the scenes so everyone feels welcome and supported.
At a time when funding is increasingly hard to come by, we are especially grateful to BBC Children in Need for recognising the importance of this role. It’s these everyday moments that help build trust and confidence and make the Rendezvous what it is —and we’re thrilled that this support will allow Bekah to do just that.
Thank you, Pudsey!
