Read the real stories of our young people and volunteers.
Please note that, unless otherwise stated, the names of the young people have been changed to preserve their anonymity.
A proud moment for our young learners
Learners, tutors and supporters of the Rendezvous came together to celebrate their achievements at our annual learner celebration on 17th October.
Zoe’s story
At our annual learning celebration, we always invite a young person who’s recently finished their time with us to take the “alumni” slot and share a few reflections.
Ashley’s story
“I suffer with anxiety and depression, which is why I am with the Rendezvous…..”
This is Ashley’s story in her own words (we’ve changed her name and the image is not her!). She has made the most of everything we’ve offered her – learning, 1:1 support and help with applications. She now volunteers at the learning sessions and we are extremely proud of the way she has grown.
Where are they now? Rhys’ story
Five years have passed since the making of this video but we are delighted that Rhys has kept in touch and pops in to share news from time to time.
Learners in their own words
Could you volunteer with us?
