Alongside the regular support and learning services we offer young people we also run projects in different local areas.

Some are year-round long-term projects like our outreach programme in Gillingham, while others are shorter special projects that allow us to try something different.

We aim to learn from our projects and use that knowledge to improve our services in future.

Getting to grips with camera - B/W

Gillingham Film: Find Your Way…

Our latest film project is underway! And it’s a win-win situation for everyone. Gillingham Town Council have invited young people to help them promote the town’s new urban orienteering trail by producing two new films.

Discovery project

We’re working with CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and the Dorset Mental Health Forum to pilot an 8-week small group project in Sherborne to reduce anxiety.

Rendezvous Yeovil: Learning

Our learning programme can make the difference between young people finding a job or going to college or not, so we’re delighted to be setting up a new learning programme in Yeovil thanks to support from the Somerset Community Foundation.

If you are a bit too old for youth club or you can’t get to one of our venues, we have teams of Rendezvous staff who meet young people in the streets or parks in different towns.

The Rendezvous is behind a project connecting emotional support for children between the ages of 6 and 19 in Sherborne.

Emotional Wellbeing in School

We provide emotional wellbeing support for students at the Gryphon School. We are normally in school two days a week but during the pandemic are providing support by phone during the Covid-19 lockdowns.

We will soon be recruiting for young people to take part in our next community film project.
